Awhile back, we visited a website and the site shows you who has visited your blog, like from which country. I have had only a few but they have all been from the United States. You can customize the layout of your counter, such as changing the colors of your text, border, and background.
On Thursday last week, we also added little fun and helpful applications to our Firefox called Add-ons. Like the personas, this website has thousands of add-ons such as the ones below. Some of the first ones that I added were the drums and the piano for the keyboard! Those types of this would keep people entertained for quite some time! I also downloaded a few others like the AddThis and the Symbaloo Bookmarker! Those are more helpful than they are fun! It makes going to websites easier!
Last class we visited a page that has thousands and thousands of personas for Firefox! A persona is like a background or a skin for your Firefox browser. There are many different themes, some are the seasons, animals, and also just little sayings or pictures. I chose the persona I did because the colors are very pretty and the image on the top right is very interesting and pretty also.
Last class we created a sidebar to our blogs called Feedjit. Feedjit is a visitor counter that allows you to see who has visited your blog, it also tells you what brand of computer they used when visiting your blog and where they are from. Most of the people viewing my blog have been classmates but there has been a couple that have been outside of Kansas. Feedjit is a very interesting tool to put on your blog!
Today was the first time that I played around with Voki. It is a very interesting website and I recommend it to everyone who wants or needs to make an avatar for a website. Voki has many different features that include sports, makeup, clothing and you can even change your background for your person! You might be able to get them to look somewhat similar to you if you try hard enough!
Today I visited Symbaloo, which is a website that allows you to bookmark your favorite websites online. It is a very fast way to go to your websites without having to go through all of the trouble of finding which one it is. You can add up to 52 internet tiles and you can have one quick search in the middle. I recommend it for anyone who is constantly on the internet searching for their favorite things. Click here to check it out!
